An Intercessor's Dilemma
How, oh Lord,
should I pray?
Just what would You
have me say?
It would seem enough
to know your heart.
But it's just a launchpad in
an intercessor's art.
with me.
Encouraging dialogue, so You
might see
How I might view a
distressing matter -
To stand with You
when You are sadder,
As friend of God,
I hear You out.
Sometimes the whisper,
sometimes the shout.
stand-in-gapper
Is knowing when to
encourage as a clapper,
Or when to pray
You'll reconsider
Judgment's toll when
You are bitter.
this heavy weight?
As God's chum he'd
veer people's fate.
on Judgment's chest.
We ponder this to
know what's best -
To cry out Your Mercy or
stand with Your Judgment.
Your burning?
You blazed in rage
beyond a turning.
the thing I face -
In humility
to know my place.
Never trampling
over that line.
When to hold back
my opine.
I am clay.
Why would you want to
hear my say?
So complex -
can't figure You out.
Think I get You
then You change route.
demands a breaking.
Mix in the quaking
and a little shaking.
Breaking through grinding
is how I'm finding
the route to entrusting
has terrible busting.
Trembling under
my God's thunder,
Life's become
a sign and a wonder.
sets my heart free!
Yip! Yippee! Wheeeeeee!
Friendship lives on
a two way street.
Demanding time to
greet and meet.
But herein lies
the difference—
the difference—
Your presence unfolds
my temperance.
do not break.
Don't stop flow
too much at stake.
This holy friendship
had its start.
Only difference?
we never part.
when life is grim,
Allowing nothing
to git b'tween
Pregnant with presence
Tho' I'm a guy.
With purpose at hand,
and He knows full why.
He promises intimacy

for all of me
and relationships are a two way street
but me and He meet in the middle
All of Him for all of me. Yes!
